Our Mission

To provide a secure, judgment-free space where people can get practical tech help, learn to protect themselves online, and receive peer support that meets them where they are — without cost, without judgment, and without empty promises.

We are a registered state nonprofit. Everyone is welcome. No money is ever required to join or to receive help.

What We Offer

Our Origin

Whispering Flame began in the BDSM and kink community. It was built around consent, accountability, and aftercare — values that came from that world and that still matter to us. For a long time, that was the whole of it.

In 2006, the founder stepped away from that world and retired from the scene. The platform went quiet.

Years later, with too many people struggling and not enough affordable help to go around, a friend made the case to reopen it — not as a kink space first, but as a place that could use the same values (consent, accountability, aftercare, mutual respect) in service of something broader: free tech help, tech protection, and peer support for anyone who needs it.

That's where we are now. The platform is still rooted in the values we built it on — consent, accountability, and looking out for each other — but the work has expanded far past its original narrow purpose. We're a nonprofit now. We don't charge. And the people we're here for are anyone who needs a hand and can't afford to pay for one.

If you came here from the kink community: you're still welcome. The values that built this place didn't disappear — they just got put to wider use.

Your data is yours. We take privacy and security seriously, and we don't sell or share what you give us.

Empathy

We honor the human behind the screen. Support without judgment. Real listening. Honest advice within what we know.

Accountability

We do what we say. When we issue an empowerment, we follow through — and we expect the same from the people we work with. Trust is earned in drops and lost in buckets.

⚠ We don't charge. Joining and receiving help is free. If anyone ever tells you otherwise, that's not us.
⚠ We're honest about our roots. This platform started in the kink community. It didn't hide that then, and it isn't hiding it now — but the work it does today is broader than its origin, and the people it serves are anyone who needs a hand.
